特徵：自然族群中有分為白糖種和黃糖種，兩種都有紅豆狀斑紋。白糖種為白化種，兩個種族其實沒有分別。他們身體光滑細膩，摸上去

涼涼的。背部有豆沙色魚鰭，眼睛部分很脆弱。

習性：與普通彈塗魚不一樣，砵砵們是完全的陸上生物。身上會分泌薄蠟來保留水分，另外也會用肺部呼吸。背上的魚鰭在繁殖時會伸出

吸引異性。他們常常會在糕點店出現，並以食物碎屑為主食。大多數砵砵們的樣子都看起來很蠢，不過只是視力比較差的緣故。
